PeriodicElementTable.com is a free reference and learning site built for students, teachers, and anyone curious about chemistry. It's an interactive periodic table, a growing set of deep-dive pages for all 118 elements, calculators like the molar mass calculator, and a blog of clear, original explainers — with no login, no paywall, and as little clutter as we can manage.

Why this site exists

Good chemistry references online tend to fall into two camps: dense academic databases that assume you already know what you're looking for, or ad-heavy sites that bury the actual information. We wanted something in between — genuinely useful data, presented clearly, that doesn't fight you to find it.

Where the data comes from

Element data is sourced from public-domain and open scientific databases — primarily PubChem, run by the US National Library of Medicine. The full sourcing methodology is documented in this project's SOURCES.md file. We never invent a number: where a value isn't available from a reliable source, the site says so rather than guessing.

All written content — element write-ups, FAQs, and blog posts — is original. We don't copy text from Wikipedia or anywhere else.

How the site is funded

The plan is modest, unobtrusive advertising (Google AdSense) once the site has steady traffic, plus optional printable posters, flashcards and worksheets sold separately. Ads are switched off entirely right now — you're looking at a site with no ad code running on it.
